A Weekend Away

While Nana and Papa were in Tucson for the month of April, we decided to pay them a visit! We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend. We had yummy food, went shopping and golfing, bike riding and enjoyed the company.

The beautiful mountain scenery from the backyard.
We had a fun bike ride.
We enjoyed yummy Mexican food.

We saw the beautiful San Xavier mission. Last time I saw this I was around 10 or 11.
It still surprises me - but flowers do grow in the desert :)
It turns out that people were a bit smaller 300 years ago...haha

What a fun weekend!

Our First Suns Game

For Robby's birthday from my family he got money to buy tickets to a Phoenix Suns game. We were excited to go to the game and see the Suns play the Oklahoma Thunder!

The highlight of the game was Robby catching a shirt, just like he did at the last Jazz game we went to. Raising Cane's, NBA basketball, and a free t-shirt...what more can you ask for?

Date night in pictures

1.  fish and chips 2. Happiness about eating fish and chips (not quite Ivar's but it will do) 3. Frozen yogurt
Not pictured: exploring a used bookstore in Mesa

We love date night!

Tucson for a wedding!

In March we spent a quick but fun weekend in Tucson to celebrate Robby's cousin Katie's wedding.  Here is the proof:
We had fun playing with the photobooth at the reception. Notice a trend? Yes, Robby is making a face in every single picture. We're still working on that....haha

We went to visit Saguaro National Park. There were thousands of these!
We also had a really yummy lunch! We enjoyed burgers, sweet potato and zucchini fries and a creme brulee milkshake!

Springtime Baseball Game

One advantage of living in Phoenix is the opportunity to attend MLB spring training games. Robby took a half day of work and we went to an afternoon game, the White Sox vs the Diamondbacks. It was a beautiful Friday afternoon in March, in the 80's! We sat on the lawn, which was so much more fun than being in seats, but we were directly in the sun the entire game. I even got a sunburn!

Not pictured is the delicious sugary- snow cone we shared. There is something about being at a baseball game that makes you want to eat kid food. Fun times in Arizona.

Robby's Quarter Quell

Note: For those of you who love the Hunger Games as much as we do, I hope you appreciate my creative title.

Recently, the loss of our camera halted my good blogging streak, but camera and I have been reunited, so I'm back!

On March 6th we celebrated Robby's quarter of a century! 25 years old. I made the birthday boy a banner, he had fun gifts to open, and we spread out the celebrating as long as we could.

I'm so grateful for this 25 year old in my life. Here's to a lifetime of birthdays to celebrate together!
